Definitions of energy work and energy consultations vary, but it is typically described as a practice that works with the body's subtle energy systems to support emotional balance, spiritual connection, and overall sense of wellbeing.
Energy work often draws from modalities such as Reiki, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurveda, Chakra systems, sound healing, crystal healing, and other traditions. The practices aim to balance, clear, and restore the flow of energy within and around the body.
The underlying perspectives suggest that the body is not just physical, but has energetic and/or spiritual components; that energy flows within and around the body; that this flow can become blocked, depleted, or dysregulated, which can influence one's emotional, energetic, and overall states of being; that a practitioner can help shift or rebalance that energy; and that when that energy shifts, one may notice a greater sense of clarity, ease, or inner alignment.

Here, energy work is an invitation to tend to the harmony between a person, their internal state, and the environments they move through — integrating what they intuitively know to be true. That way, they can return to clarity, self-trust, and their own natural state of equilibrium.

In a Balance + Breathe Session (50 min), the focus is on re-balancing the individual so they return to a state of alignment and self-trust. Subtle shifts allow for greater ease, presence, and a steady sense of being at home in one’s self.
In a Harmonize + Restore Session (80 min), the focus is on restoring clarity, balance, and coherence within people and their space. It supports the release of what feels heavy, misaligned, or unclear. It also supports the restoration of the space’s frequencies and resonance. Individuals and families can return to environments that feel calm, supportive, and aligned with how they are meant to be experienced.

There is very little one needs to do to prepare for a session. Coming with an open heart and open mind works.
If you’d like to do a little more, you could jot down a few notes about what feels off or out of alignment so we can orient your session around what is most important to you. However, it’s not unusual for new concerns to come to the front of mind immediately once the session begins. Don’t be surprised if your spirit reminds you of something that needs some attention.

Drink water. Eat something if you feel hungry. Some reach for protein and others for chocolate - either option works great for feeling grounded in your body. Hot showers or baths are another good option to close your session.
Consider gentle movement like going for a walk, if you’re feeling energized. Or a nap, if you’re feeling a bit tired. Everyone responds to the experience differently so listening to your body is the best option.
